Reflection is upon us. A look back at the year we lived. The ups, downs, joys, and hurts. The biggest change of my life happened and I am different because of it. There is a lot stirring in my heart right now. It’s a shift, a breaking of sorts. Most of which is best left unsaid.
There are changes for me to make both externally and internally. For me, right now, the heart of this change lies in surrender. Encouraged by this post and my current state, my theme word for 2016 is Surrender.
The clay must submit to the Potter’s hands.
“So I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was working at his wheel. And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.”
Jeremiah 18:3-4
But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.
Isaiah 64:8
Truly I am as your spokesman before God;
I also have been formed out of clay.
Job 33:6
Happy New Year, you guys!
