Back at the market this week. I didn’t go last week because I felt like I had just enough produce to get through another week. It was a creative stretch but I think we fared okay. I’m not sure if the expense evens out over the weeks or not but I definitely spent more than I would have liked today. When am I ever going to accept that food is expensive, even in my neck of the woods, even with shopping at the farmers market? In any case, here is this weeks haul.
- Leeks
- Green onions
- Beets
- Yellow onions
- Baby yukon gold potatoes
- Sweet potatoes
- Green beans
- Zucchini
- Ginger
- Cherry tomatoes
- Broccoli
- Baby bok choy
- Kale
- Figs (only $3 for the basket!!)
- Asian pears
- Pink lady apples
I’m slightly jealous of the fresh green beans. No one around here has green beans growing in their garden (and our farmers market was closed this summer).
